Who builds TarleyNode
I’m Chris. I’ve worked in IT for 15 years, and for more than six of them I ran PRTG every day. It did the job, but it was a constant low-level annoyance. There were endless clicks to add devices, stats you had to dig for, and licence maths every time the network grew.
TarleyNode is the tool I wanted during those years.
What I care about
- Stats that make sense at a glance. You shouldn’t need three clicks and a legend to find out whether something is wrong.
- Setup that gets out of your way. One Linux server, no agents on your devices, and remote sites added with a single command.
- Your data stays yours. It’s self-hosted, so your monitoring data never leaves your network.
- Pricing a small IT team can live with. It’s free for up to 100 sensors, paid plans start at $600 a year, and every tier has unlimited users.
Where TarleyNode is today
TarleyNode is new, independent and self-funded. I’m honest about that. Some integrations are still in beta, and I’m looking for founding testers to tell me what’s missing. Everything that ships is listed on the releases page.
If you’ve had the same frustrations, I’d love you to try it. Become a founding tester
